Dear Friends of CHART:
Each of us in his ownway is very aware of the financial problems being faced by millions of Americans today. Just recently I read a headline in the Wall Street Journal that said "Charitable Donations are down by 11% Nationwide." Maybe you saw that article, too.
What that means to organizations like CHART is that it's much harder to raise money and to continue to help adoptive families find the treatment they so desperately need for their adopted children.
CHART is blessed with wonderful volunteers and donors who have supported us from the beginning; however, it has proved to be more difficult this year to raise funds. Our jeep tour and barbecue, a fund raiser that we count on each year to raise the most money of the year, was a terrific event but only brought in 50% of the money it usually
brings in. The jewelry sale was a success, but once again, we only brought in 50% of the money we have made in past years.
If you could send a tax deductible donation to CHART , it would be put to good use to help a small child between the ages of 9 and 13 get the correct treatment in a setting that keeps him/her and their adoptive families safe. Even a small donation of $10 buys breakfast and lunch, $25 buys three hours of care, and $175 buys 24 hours of care.
You can donate any amount you can afford to CHART, through this web site. Just press the "DONATE" button on the left or send your check to CHART, 11327 E. Concho Circle, Tucson, Arizona 85749.
If you can do this you will know that you've helped a family who has taken a child into their home
and given them everything and now finds themselves in desperate need of help to keep themselves and their child safe. Please help us help these families.
Sincerely, Mary Ann Mulligan Executive Director
