Children’s Help and Assistance for Residential Treatment (CHART) seeks to reduce the financial burden for families of adopted children, between the ages of 9 to13 years old, with major depressive disorders and mood disorders, who require residential treatment services by providing funding and education for families of these children.
When you adopted, you made a commitment. The resources of CHART are available to help you keep that commitment. At CHART we believe:
• All children, including those with mental illness, can grow to become contributing adults.
• Adoptive families are the most important ingredient in helping children become productive adults.
• Addressing children’s mental health issues can help them grow to their potential.
• Information about residential treatment should be easy to find and easy to understand.
• Adopted children benefit when their families find emotional and financial balance.
• The commitment of adoption is forever
