Virtual Residential Treatment Programs

Virtual Residential or Wraparound services are provided to families and children in their homes and communities (instead of your child living at the RTC).

Also known as Wraparound Residential Services

Their goal is to provide the tools for a stable placement back in the home, school and community while enhancing your child’s personal growth. They can be used as an alternative to residential care or in a transition from residential care back to the home. These programs work to make it easier for you to help your child reintegrate into your neighborhood and community. Your child is assigned coaches to help him or her learn about social skills and community resources. The coaches help your child and family with a number of issues such as:

When a wraparound program first begins the coaches spend a set amount of time with the family and child. As the family unit progresses and your child reaches specific goals, the time is reduced until the program completely phased out. The length of the program may be from a couple of months to six months. As with all the programs, family participation is a huge part of the process. Working closely with the therapists and coaches, the families and children learn the techniques by practicing/reinforcing the weekly goals.
